Meet Lois Frescoln -- One of our first residents at South Gate! "I moved to South Gate from Ottumwa 3 years ago. My daughter works in Fairfield so I'm much closer to her now and I'm also near my church, Immanuel Lutheran Church. It's a great place to walk and I like the way Dennis and Linda take care of things."
	This is Esther Reighard -- She moved here from Monroe Iowa "I wanted to move away from the responsibilities of keeping up a house. here, everything is taken care of, and I don't have to worry about mowing the yard or shoveling snow. This is the most friendly community, of all the places I've lived in. I couldn't believe how fast I got acquainted with everyone, within the first week I had made many new friends."
Everett and Lois Shields -- Lois loves to garden and enjoys her flower bed right outside the front door, and Everett spends a lot of time working in his "shop" on his side of the garage. "We love the way the development is laid out, it makes for 'very pleasant living' We like the camaraderie of all the people here and it is a wonderful place to walk for exercise. The apartments are well built and the utilities are very reasonable, we are very happy we moved here."
	Here are Don & Miriam Kauffman -- They bought a condo in April 2001 and are both very happy they did. They love all of the people who live in the neighborhood and the way the whole development is arranged. "For our age, it's just what we need, no stairs, no yard work and the utilities are very reasonable."  Miriam has decorated their condo beautifully and likes the large living room and very roomy master bedroom.
Joe and Betty Crawford -- Joe and Betty are two of the original residents of South Gate. Betty said that they had owned homes for a long time but decided they" just wanted to enjoy a simple life and let someone else maintain the property."   They like the convenience of living on one level.  They like the location of being within walking distance of town, yet being surrounded by country.  More days than not, we'll pass by Joe as he takes his walk to the Fairfield Library.
